I received this email from Carl Siener who lives in Louisiana, he is the son of Herman Siener On Monday Jan 18, 2010 Steven: Damn, I have to fill you in on all of my wives? You’re going to need a bigger spread sheet… Anyway, I’ll fill you in on what I have on Herman’s kids. My knowledge of the rest of that side of the family is limited because I left St. Louis in 70 to attend college in Louisiana and stayed here after graduation. Anita (50) married Allen Saunders in 72 and had four children – Andrew (74), William (79), Nora (83) and Allen (86). Andrew married in Michelle 01 and had one child – Oliver (06) William married Adrienne in 09 Anita currently lives in Richardson, TX. Carl married Peggy Gallo (55) in 74 and divorced in 82 – no children. Carl married Sheila Hebert (58) in ’83 and divorced in 06 with two children – Abe (78) and Garrett (95). (Abe was Sheila’s son from a teen pregnancy with no father ever named. Carl adopted Abe in 84.) Abe married Raynell Liotta in 2001 and had one child – Rex (06) Carl married Jane Darby (nee Higgitt) in 08. Jane had two children from a previous marriage – Emma Darby (79) and James Darby (82). Emma married Steffan LeMercier in 05 and divorced 07 with one child – Lestat LeMercier (05) (yes, Lestat – Emma is “unusual” or better known as “Goth”). In 2007 Emma changed her name to Rowan Reimer (did I mention that she was “unusual”?). Carl currently lives in Gonzales, LA (pretty sure he’s finished marrying people) Margaret (53) only lived a couple of days due to a faulty/missing heart valve. Routine now, fatal then. She is buried in St. Louis in the same plot as my maternal grandparents (the Hellers). There is an inscription with her name and dates on the side of their main monument. Linda (55) married Merv Hopson in 79 – no children. Linda currently lives in Clayton, MO Edith (59) married Doug Meyers in 84 and had five children – Jeffrey (86), Meredith (88), Charles (90) and twins Elaine (92) and Laura (92). Edith currently lives in St. Louis, MO As an Army vet, Herman and his wife were buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. I have asked my sister if she can get a picture of that for me. Herman’s oldest brother Louis had two children – Doris and Ronald, both deceased within the last 5-10 years. I believe Doris had one son and Ronald had two daughters. Not sure on this but my sister would know if you want that. His other brother Ralph had one child – Freda – no children, never married, still resides in Rosiclare, IL. I was told that Freda had done a lot of genealogy work on both sides of her family in the southern Illinois area. I am unaware of any e-mail address for her but my baby sister talks with her occasionally and she could provide a phone number if necessary. Right now, that’s all I can think from of Herm and Kaye except to fill in the missing dates if you want them. A good contact for you would be Bob Siener. His father Frances was one of John Sebastian Siener’s children. I know Bob could fill you in on all of that part of the family as his father had spent several years working on tracing the Siener name. I am pretty sure Bob has all of that information now or at least has access to it. Bob’s father Francis was a traveling salesman that opened a motel in Lake Charles, LA, and that is where he raised his family (Bob also has a sister). The name of the motel was The Siener Motel and I know Frances sold it many years ago. Bob might be able to provide photos of the hotel. I was not sure it was even still open but I found a few references to it on Google, though all were foreign sites. There were no pictures available but here’s one with a map - http://hotelburst.cn/usa/louisiana/lakecharles/45/155448.html That’s about all for now. Let me know if you want any more information or clarification of anything provided today. Best regards, Carl
